Workspaces and pc workstations

Some workstations available

Since June 4, 2021, we have been able to provide a limited number of workstations in compliance with all requirements of the Charité and the regulations according to the "Third SARS-CoV-2 Infection Protection Measures Ordinance", last amendment of October 5, 2021, of the Berlin Senate, which is now in force.

Please note that as a prerequisite for the use of workstations, proof of a negative test result or proof of recovery or vaccination must be provided.

Book and use a space in the Central Library (CVK)

The spaces reserved for you are available from 10:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. and from 2:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Choose a day and a period by clicking on the calendar. Available time slots can be booked one week in advance. Here you will find a quick guide for multiple bookings (e.g. morning and afternoon).

You can book a place in the reading room or in the PC room:

You will receive an e-mail to confirm your booking.

Your data will be collected for any necessary contact follow-up during the booking process and will be deleted after four weeks.

If you are prevented from using your workstation, please be sure to cancel it so that it becomes available again! (You will find a link to cancel the workstation in the confirmation email you receive after booking. If you have any questions about cancellation, please contact us.)

At the end of the time slot you have booked, please leave the library on time, so that the workstation is available in time for the next users.

Please let us know at check-in if you have booked the same workstation for the whole day.

The spaces reserved for you are available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. and from 2:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Book and use a space in the Dental Library

Under the same hygiene requirements with the same spacing rules, some workstations and pc workstations are again available in the Dentistry Library during opening hours (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and Wednesday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm).

Workstations will be allocated on the spot after we have noted your details for any contact tracking that may be required. It is not necessary to make a reservation.

Protective measures

A FFP2 mask must be worn in the library. This also applies when working at the workstations.

We ask you to be sure to observe the applicable distance and hygiene rules when you are on site. If you have cold symptoms (e.g., cough, fever, shortness of breath, loss of sense of smell or taste), do not enter the Medical Library.

Please disinfect your workplace with the supplied wipes and ventilate as often as possible.

Please note that as a condition of using workstations, proof of a negative test result or proof of recovery or immunization must be provided.

     

The following certificates are eligible:

Negative test result of a rapid or PCR test

  • The negative test results of a rapid test must not be older than 24 hours. The negative test results of a PCR test must not be older than 24 hours.They must be issued by one of the public testing centers or by the employer.
  • Charité students can prove that they have tested negative within the last 72 hours with their documentation card issued by the Office of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.
  • Please note that self-tests to students issued by Charité cannot be certified by the library, but must already be noted and confirmed in the documentation card.

Proof of recovery

  • If you have recovered from Covid-19 within the last six months, you may provide a doctor's note stating this.
  • If you recovered from Covid-19 more than six months ago, you must provide a doctor's note stating this. In addition, you must provide proof through your immunization record or digital vaccination certificate that you have been vaccinated against Covid-19 at least once.

Proof of vaccination

  • You will provide proof of complete vaccination protection against Covid-19 (second vaccination was more than two weeks ago) via your vaccination card or digital vaccination certificate.

Ordering and borrowing of books

Please note that books for pickup must still be ordered in advance online.
