Document Delivery
You can order journal articles and books that are not in our collection.
You are here:
Document Delivery and Interlibrary Loan:
Charité members can order journal articles and book chapters that are not available on the Charité network (on-site or via VPN) via Doctor-Doc document delivery service.
Charité employees also have the option of ordering complete books that are not available in the Medical Library's collection via Doctor-Doc.
Non-Charité members can only use the document delivery service for orders from the journal magazine.
Search and order via Primo:

When searching for literature via the library portal Primo, you will be offered links to the full text - if licensed or freely available.
Search and order via databases

Please always access PubMed and other databases via our library pages, as this is the only way to obtain information about library holdings.
Search for the desired title in the respective database and click on it.
On the right edge of the hit display you will find the Charité SFX button.
If you click on the Charité SFX button, you will be redirected to Primo. There you have the option to order the desired title under "Links" via Doctor-Doc. The next steps are the same as for an order via Primo.
Search and order via Citation Linker

If the document you are looking for is not in Primo or in databases like PubMed or Web of Science, please use the Citation Linker.
Please include as much bibliographic information (title, author, year, volume, issue number, page number, ISBN, etc.) as possible when placing your order. From there, you will also be directed to Doctor-Doc for ordering.
Interlibrary Loan for Books (only for Charité employees):
Books that are not in the Medical Library's collection can also be ordered through Primo or via CitationLinker.
Loan period and lending conditions of interlibrary loan books:
The lending conditions and the loan period are determined by the lending library and are therefore variable. An extension of the loan period is often possible.
The loan period may be shortened if the item is recalled early by the lending library.
